This Auction: is for a 2007 Saturn Aura XR 4-Door Sedan, with 3.6 liter V-6, automatic transmission, front wheel drive, black leather power seats, power glass moonroof, etc. in overall very good condition. I am selling it for my sister, the ORIGINAL OWNER (bought new in 2007. This Saturn Aura was awarded the Car & Driver North American Car of The Year. Over 12 years my sister drove this car 141,750 miles in Central California. It has essentially no rust as the car has always been in California. It is very clean, the leather seats are good, and there are only a few minor door dings and paint scratches. It has only minor wear and tear normal for a well maintained 12 year old car. Please look at all photos. I include all maintenance and service records. My sister does not smoke, and no one has ever smoked inside the car. Personalized License Plates are not included - you will need to get new plates when you register the car after buying. Saturn Aura Details: The exterior is in very good condition with no large dents, and only a few small normal door dings, paint scratches, stone chips, etc. The interior has full power driver and passenger black leather seats in good condition. Mileage is 20 to 24 mpg, and Saturn listed it as 18 mpg city and 28 mph highway. The engine runs smooth and quiet, and the transmission shifts nicely. The stereo system has very nice sound, but I think the CD player is stuck (who still uses those). It does have dual front airbags, side airbags, and is an overall very nice and safe mid-size sedan. It has traction control and full anti-lock brakes. The trunk is large and has a nice Saturn Aura large heavy carpet mat, and all foot wells have similar nice floor mats. All tires are very good (80% to 90% of new) tread depth. I recently installed a new starter and a new hood support prop strut. The only minor item is that at parking lot and very slow driving speeds, you can feel a slight “clunk” when turning the steering wheel (slight turns up to maybe 15 mph) from the steering column splined shaft where it goes to the steering rack. If you lay on your back in the driver footwell, and slightly turn the wheel left and right, you can see and feel exactly what is happening (I’ll show you). To fix it you have to remove and re-grease the spline steering column joint or buy a new one. I think GM did a bad job on this splined shaft as it’s hard to grease or replace this. It’s done this minor clunk thing for half the car’s life, the dealer says it’s normal wear, my sister didn’t mind, but it annoys me. The car had a minor (cosmetic damage) rear impact that was properly repaired. It also had the transmission replaced by GM under warranty at around 85,000 miles. My sister had regular maintenance done including spending a few thousand dollars at a Chevy dealer in Modesto last year, and I’ve also changed the oil, cleaned the car and helped her with minor maintenance several times. Earlier this year, some mice chewed wiring and it cost several hundred dollars getting that replaced. Damn mice. She is selling it because she’s a teacher and not a mechanic, and so she just bought a new car (and put D-con in the garage to get those damn mice). Note the Saturn Aura is essentially the same as the Chevy Malibu of the same year, so most parts are easily available at Chevy, Buick, or any GM dealership. Because this is a 12 year old car, only people who can work on cars should buy it. If you can’t fix minor stuff yourself, or have a good affordable mechanic to help, then you should buy a new car (and not anyone’s 12 year old used car It has never been in a major accident, and of course it is not a flood damage vehicle. This Saturn Aura has a clear title (never stolen, never broken into, not repossessed, not lemon lawed, etc., with only one owner, my sister) and has only been registered in California. I have the California Certificate of Title (no loan to payoff). My sister is under zero financial or other pressure to sell, so I have no reason to accept any low offers below KBB Private Party Values.
